History
Rotaract Clubs are for young adults aged 18-30 to meet peers their age group and provide service to their community. Rotaract Clubs must be sponsored by a Rotary Club. The Rotaract Club of Richmond is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Richmond. We currently have a strong membership of more than 25 members. The club engages in a multitude of activities helping the Richmond community through local community service projects or international projects that serve to bring about awareness of global issues. Each month, the club holds one meeting, participates in at least one community service project and convenes for one social.
Recent community service projects the club has been involved in includes volunteering for the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Rosewood Manor, Richmond Salvation Army, Richmond Center for Disability and the Gilmore Park United Church Community Dinner. Past international projects include Cultural Enrichment, involving exchange of cultural items from countries across the world and IMPACT Anti-Poverty Seminar, a conference that brought Richmond high school students together to learn more about poverty locally and internationally.
